The Rwanda Volunteer Network was founded in 2014 by a group of volunteers who saw in volunteering a means of making connections across countries and cultures. It is a nascent organization and has only three paid staff and 17 volunteers across the country working in Youth, Education, Secure livelihoods, Organizational Volunteer Capacity Building and Social Inclusion programs. V-NET-Rwanda is a nationally based organisation that use volunteers and volunteer involving organisations ‘To contribute to the integral development of the country by promoting the spirit of volunteering at the heart of the Rwandan population’.
Pro Bono Week takes place every year in October and celebrates the pro bono ethic of the thousands of professionals who volunteer their skills and professional expertise to support nonprofits all around the world.
